I was thinking of looking into getting a k26 before i went and got my t34 and been thinking about one again. has anyone got any info on them, what's max power, flow rate safe power to run them at. also what's involved in fitting one to the let and how much do they go for. cheers lee

Personally i wouldnt bother, there far better turbo's out there....probably for less money aswell as i think the k26 still holds its price well. It'll be a small fortune from the like of regal/eds.
If you have the t34 you must nave a t3 flanged manifold, probably the best frame in terms of choice.
What you afte exaclty? Hp wise i mean.
Internal/external gate?
Budget?

The problem with the K26 is it using the standard manifold, not ideal at high RPM in my opinion.

Here is what a K26 looks like next to a t34, its going to need a custom manifold as you can see, a garrett LET manifold wont fit and obviously you cant easily use the standard K16 manifold as that has the turbo exhaust housing as part of it.

The K26 flange is similar to a garrett one but orientated 90 degrees out, I dont think the dimensions are identical.

A T34.63 will do 380bhp VERY happily.

.48 housing drives a lot nicer, and still easily good for 350bhp

i was thinking would i benifit(sp) from an extra 30brake in a fwd vectra but it'd be nice to have the option to get that bit more in the long run i think. i might get my car mapped up with the .48 on and see how things are but get a .63 anyway.

I suspect you will be happy with the .48, when I had the choice for my cossie engine I went for that one, purely because 350bhp and more responsive is more appealing to me than 380bhp and laggier.

i dont think an extra 30 brake would help in a fwd car, youll just get worse traction issues.

In 4th onwards you will have no traction issues anyway.

i've seen a 300brake vectra take off and it put the power down quite well and that was stripped to the shell. I think being quite a heavy car helps with traction even if it is slower than a smaller car.
